Home Hearing Dogs

 - Home Hearing dogs are fully trained to alert their owners to sounds in the home. They enhance their owners’ independence and can dramatically improve the quality of their lives.

- For a variety of reasons, these dogs do not have the skills or temperament to be in public settings. Home Hearing dogs are NOT hearing dogs and do NOT have public access rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

-Difficulties with the stress of being in public settings is the number one reason why trainee dogs do not become full hearing dogs with public access rights.

- If you want a dog that will alert you to sounds at home AND you don’t have any significant need to have them in public places (for example, you don’t need the dog to alert you to sounds in your workplace) a home hearing dog may be a fantastic fit for you.
